Katy
Katy is home base for me — my office is here, and it's where many of my clients land first. Families come for Katy ISD, one of the most sought-after school districts in the Houston area, and stay for the master-planned communities like Cinco Ranch, Grand Oaks, and Firethorne, with their lakes, trails, and community pools. The Grand Parkway and I-10 make commuting manageable, LaCenterra and Katy Mills cover shopping and dining, and you'll find everything from established neighborhoods with big trees to brand-new construction. Katy is a great fit if schools and community amenities top your list.
Fulshear
Fulshear is where I live, so I can tell you about it firsthand. Once a quiet small town west of Katy, it has grown quickly in recent years with communities like Cross Creek Ranch and Fulshear Run — but it still keeps a more open, country feel, with bigger lots and room to breathe. Residents enjoy trails, lakes, and a slower pace, while staying close enough to Katy for everyday shopping and dining. Much of Fulshear is served by Lamar Consolidated ISD, with some areas in Katy ISD. If you want newer homes and a little more space without leaving the Katy area behind, Fulshear is worth a serious look.
Richmond
Richmond blends Texas history with some of the area's most popular newer communities. The historic downtown and the Brazos River give it character you won't find in a brand-new suburb, while neighborhoods like Pecan Grove, Aliana, and Harvest Green offer golf courses, lakes, and farm-inspired amenities. Depending on the neighborhood, homes are served by Fort Bend ISD or Lamar Consolidated ISD. With the Westpark Tollway and Grand Parkway nearby, Richmond works well for buyers who want community amenities and a Fort Bend County address at a range of price points.
Sugar Land
Sugar Land is one of Fort Bend County's most established and polished communities. Master-planned neighborhoods like First Colony, Telfair, and Riverstone offer lakes, trails, and mature landscaping, and Fort Bend ISD schools are a major draw for families. Sugar Land Town Square gives residents a walkable center for dining, shopping, and events, and the Smart Financial Centre hosts concerts and shows year-round. It's a strong choice if you want an established community feel with excellent amenities and an easier commute toward the Medical Center and downtown via US-59.
Cypress
Cypress, in northwest Houston along the US-290 corridor, is known for Cy-Fair ISD — one of the largest and most well-regarded districts in Texas — and for communities built around water and green space. Towne Lake centers life around a large recreational lake with a boardwalk of restaurants and shops, and Bridgeland is one of the region's largest master-planned communities, with hundreds of acres of lakes and parks. Cypress offers a wide range of homes, from starter-friendly neighborhoods to luxury properties, and appeals to buyers who want strong schools and community life on the northwest side.
Hockley
Hockley, northwest of Houston along US-290 and the Grand Parkway (SH-99) corridor, offers something that's getting harder to find: room to spread out. This unincorporated community in the Waller and Harris County area is known for new master-planned communities going up alongside larger lots and acreage homesites, so it draws everyone from families wanting a brand-new home to buyers looking for land and a quieter, country feel — while keeping an easy drive into Cypress, Katy, and Houston for work and shopping. Much of the area is served by Waller ISD. If you like the idea of more space and a slower pace without giving up city access, Hockley deserves a look.
Rosenberg
Rosenberg sits in the heart of Fort Bend County along US-59/I-69 and the Brazos River, southwest of Houston. Its historic downtown — with local shops, restaurants, and the Rosenberg Railroad Museum — gives it a small-town character that's getting harder to find, while new communities keep growing around the Brazos Town Center retail hub. Served by Lamar Consolidated ISD, Rosenberg appeals to buyers who want more home for the money than the closer-in suburbs, with an easy drive to Richmond and Sugar Land.
Spring
Spring, in north Harris County along the I-45 corridor just below The Woodlands, blends established, tree-lined neighborhoods with newer master-planned communities. Old Town Spring — a historic railroad town turned shopping and dining district with more than a hundred small shops — anchors its charm, and families are served by Spring ISD and Klein ISD. With the ExxonMobil campus nearby, quick access to IAH, and a wide range of price points from starter homes to luxury, Spring is a strong option on Houston's north side.
Houston
Beyond the suburbs, I help clients across Houston itself — from the Energy Corridor and Memorial area on the west side to neighborhoods closer to the Galleria, the Medical Center, and downtown. Houston is the largest city in Texas, and each pocket has its own character: established neighborhoods with mature trees, townhome communities for low-maintenance living, and everything in between. Whether you're relocating for work, investing, or looking for a home closer to the city, I'll help you compare areas honestly — including the practical details like commute patterns, flood considerations, and HOA and tax differences that vary street by street.
